Believe me, I don't know much about gif animation. This and the others were a learning experience for me hehe, couple days of trial and error. I remember thinking this one other idea might work, but the end result was terrible. Had to trash it and start back at step 1. :) Patience is key. I think you could pull off something similar or better if you practice :D

I used Gimp for these. The iWarp effect I used for the primary movements then added more to the frames. I must've messed around with that effect tool for hours until I figured out how to used to for the animation lol.

Best to keep something like Gimp or PS around :) I use Sai for digital drawings. It provides me with great pen control and smoothness, but it's pretty much basic, so if you need some more editing muscle, those two should help out :)
